The Mayfair Residence

A double-reception London townhouse with 3.4m ceilings, original cornicing, and a bay window facing north. The brief: warm intimacy for evenings without sacrificing daytime functionality. Kelvn layered wall-grazing sconces across the plasterwork, a dimmable Flos Arco as the focal anchor, and low-lumen table lamps to create depth at eye level — eliminating the overhead downlights that had flattened the space.

Studio Kanazawa

A 42 m² open-plan studio with exposed concrete, shoji-inspired sliding panels, and a low platform bed. The client wanted the space to feel expansive by day and deeply private at night. Kelvn specified indirect cove lighting to float the ceiling, a single Noguchi Akari as the sculptural centrepiece, and concealed under-shelf strips for the kitchen worktop — all controlled via a single dim-to-warm circuit.

Côte d'Azur Villa

A renovated 1930s villa with a indoor-outdoor dining space opening onto a terrace. Stone walls, terracotta floors, and a pergola draped in wisteria. The challenge was bridging the interior warmth with the terrace without harsh transitions. Kelvn designed a pendant cluster of hand-blown amber glass above the dining table, low-voltage bollards tracing the terrace perimeter, and concealed LED strips washing the stone walls to extend the glow outdoors.
